Sorrento acquired the license to a COVID-19 test developed by researchers at Columbia University. This test checks all the boxes to be one of the Best In Class COVID-19 tests.

This test is called COVI-TRACE and is expected to be submitted to the FDA for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) approval in the very near future.

Another key catalyst pending is the FDA's EUA approval of a separate COVID-19 test for antibodies, called COVI-TRACK. These dual catalysts are likely to drive the price of Sorrento shares higher.
