ORANGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Western Dental & Orthodontics, one of the nation’s leaders in accessible, affordable oral healthcare and the leading orthodontics provider in the country, announced the acquisition effective September 30 of San Diego Dental Specialty Center (SDDSC), a local leader in multi-specialty family dental care. Terms were not disclosed.

The transaction brings the total number of Western Dental offices in California to 231. This is the 9th office in San Diego County. Western Dental now supports a total of 322 offices in five states, including California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Alabama.

SDDSC provides affordable, high quality general dentistry and oral hygiene services and welcomes patients with all types of coverage, including Medi-Cal Dental. The practice also offers some orthodontics, pedodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery, access to which will be expanded consistent with Western Dental’s multi-specialty care model.
